It's about an hour an a half hike up and over the'Little Skirrid',the smaller hill of Ysgyryd Fach from the shepherd hut at Chapel Cottage Studio in Llanddewi Rhydderch. Rain was predicted for the evening. I had been unsuccessful following the map drawn for me the day before and I was determined to reach my destination of Abergavenny as well as return to the shepherd hut before both rain and darkness. It was not an afternoon for losing myself in the meditative state of creating Dala Art of hedgerows and thorny gorse. I opted to capture snatches of inspiration in the accordion book I made from the remains of a watercolor pad waiting for the morning rain clouds to clear.
